Ming, I have never found small temples to be that interesting for photography (and I have gone to many in my life) but your pictures have just changed my mind.

Thanks much for sharing!

I think what I am really enjoying is the versatility you are getting from this camera from fully saturated colors to more gritty black and white. I use the d-lux3 (lx2) as my "pocket" camera but it doesn't have nearly the range. Do you have any idea how much you have been shooting at the wide vs. tele end of the range?

...but definitely more at the tele end with the TZ3. I looked at the LX2 seriously also - same price in this part of the world - and couldn't decide between the two for a while. Glad I went with the TZ3 though, I think I would have missed the tele end. To me that's what makes the TZ3 unique - not only does it have a long reach, but optically it's very useable indeed.

Wow those are good pictures.. You think theres enough of those scent things to over-ride certain scents? I can jsut smell them... whooo! lol. Love the pictures. B/W photos must be your favorite things to do :)

The gatekeeper is my favorite, and the rest are also great.

Is it your first series of pictures with desaturation? I love desaturated pictures.

...but this time it was more like 20-30% - so no, not exactly the first desaturation.

It is the first "real" camera I owned. I had Kodak instamatics in the late 1960's and early 1970's. In 1977, I traded my first car for a used M5 and 2 lenses (35/1.4 and 90/2), so I suppose it IS a car in a certain sense!

Hi Ming

I was talking about you in my post. I saw your TZ3 gallery on flick, i'm really impress by your work !

A question about the TZ3, is the lack of manual controls on this camera a problem ?
