My D7 has slowly grown into a monster. The photos below show frontal and side views of how I have equipped my D7. By the way, that's not noise. It's a dirty mirror.

Pay no attention to the man behind the camera.

Very nice setup! Looks like you have a good bellows shade with a Crokin type filter tray and a Photoflex blowup type softbox. Is that a 3600HS(D) on there? I have used a Hasselblad lens shade on my Mamiya 6x7 years ago and it really worked well. What brand is that bellows shade and does it allow you to slip a vignetter in the front?

What is the thing on the front attached to the lens?

Mike Roberts
I have a Cokin "P" series adapter attached directly to the lens, no vignetting at all.

Then there's a Lee lens hood attached to the Cokin adapter. The hood is self supporting and collapses for wide angle shots. The Lee hood is only $55 compared to the Cokin $100 hood. The Lee hood can also take a 4 inch filter on the front whereas the Cokin can not.

You're right on target.

The flash attached softbox is from LumiQuest. It doesn't blow up like the PhotoFlex. It folds flat and attaches with velcro strips.

The flash is a 5600HS(D).

The bellows hood is by Lee and can take a 4 inch vignetter (or other filters and gels) in the front. I picked it up from http://www.2filter.com for $55. Everyone else was out of stock. You can get the Cokin hood anywhere if you want to pay $100.

It's called a battery cooling tower. It reduces the battery compartment temp by 30 degrees. You all know how handy that is. ;-)

What size? Or is P the size?

Mike Roberts
I guess it's the "P" size. Cokin also has an "A" and "XP" size.

I have read that several forum members have the "A" size without vignetting also. I went with the "P" size because it was bigger and would most likely fit my next camera in a year or two by buying another adapter for $8. Since the hood only fits the "P" size, I think there will be more options for this size.

I now have a two 49mm filters I don't need, the Tiffen UV and the Tiffen Circular Polarizer. They both vignette from 28mm to 50mm.

Dave,
Sorry I did not get back with you sooner... I got busy...
The configeration is...
Parts:
Dimage 7
Stroboframe
5600HSD Flash
OC-1100 Cable
OS-1100 Shoe to mount to Stroboframe

See: http://www.geocities.com/redomega00/stroboframe.htm

For Samples See: http://www.geocities.com/redomega00/eric.htm
I used the LumiQuest Softbox and bounced off the roof (white).

It works good for me... I like the off camera and stroboframe to kill the side shadows...
Roger,

How is your off camera flash configured? Are you happy with the
results?

Thanks
