what does pentax have viz. the competition in killer digicams

canon has s3is and g7, fuji has the fxx and sxxx, oly has the exxx and now the 550 uzi...

what killer digicam does pentax offer at present?

I think the Optio S7 is still one of the lightest and smallest ultracompact.

Then they have the T30 which is compact with a large 3' touch screen, thanks to the absence of buttons, and innovative user interface

Then the A30, which is very small and stylish with 10mp and VR and good image quality.
Then the W30, which is water resistant.

We need more than the S7, T30, W30 or even A30.

I agree, but nevertheless there are some Pentax models with some peculiarities... now, I understand that they might not be appealing for the advanced photographer... after many years with the wonderful Optio 550 (and after much more years as a Pentax SLR user with a P30N), I had to switch to Canon for the lack of any prosumer compact camera in the Pentax lineup that could replace the 550.

Anyway, the cameras I listed could be interesting for some people: want the smallest camera that you can find? Get the S7. Want an easy to use ultracompact camera with a large LCD? Why should the T30 be worse than a Canon SD1000? Want a camera to go underwater? The W30 is one of the few choices.

Hope they will start producing again something for the advanced photographer, now that with the K100D and K10D they showed what they are capable of.
