Sorry, I know I haven't been around in a while. Things have been busy. But I still have my SD10, and it still gets a work out when I have the time. Here are a few birds-on-sticks that I got over the past few months...

All can be found in original sizes at the top of this gallery.

FWIW, Lina and I might try to make it to the Connecticut meet, but it's going to be tight, since I'm going to be in San Diego on business the prior week or two. I'll be watching as the plans develop, and I'll let you all know if we intend to come.

All the best, everyone, and Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it.

Happy Easter to you and Lina, too, Paul...

:-)

Answers of what I think under each shot:

Female cardinal, maybe a baby, or losing its color temporarily
House sparrow
I think it's a black-capped ckickadee...The shadow from the branch makes this tough to call...
Female downy woodpecker...the male would have a red cap (one stirpe)
Male Cardinal
Junco

So? How did I do, huh? Huh? Huh?.

Hi Paul and Lina,
Nice to see you out with camera and see you pictures again.
Don't be a stranger.

Thanks so much for the kind reply. And thank you for giving missing names to a couple of our little "pets". Yes, there IS a prize, and you won it. For your astute and timely answers, you will get to meet Lina and I IN PERSON again if we happen to make it to the Danbury thing ;). Cool, huh?

And yes, I have some shots of the male woodpecker, as well. Those were not easy, as most of the shots of that pair have blurry heads...they never stop pecking!

Anyway, thanks again, sir. Hope everything is going well for you.

Best regards,

Thanks, Seng. Lina says "Hi". Yes, I know it's been a while...many things going on. I still check in on the forum periodically, but not much time to read nor post...especially photos. But these (especially the Junco) are some of my favs as of late, and wanted to share them.

Hope all is well with you and ****...my best regards to you both.

Thank you, Barry. Most of the stuff in the gallery is pretty old, but then again, so am I ;). Glad you enjoyed it.

Regards, always,

Thank you, sir. Yes/no...was more like snow or freezing drizzle. I was surprised to get several good shots that day, as the lower light forced a slower shutter, and birds usually require faster shots. But the lower light helped in a way, too, because I got less blowout in the details...especially on the male cardinal.

Only the last one was official, though. The other ones were using fake sticks :D

Thanks again, Steve,

Thank you so much. I had a lot of fun being their paparazzi! (Hell, they'll do anything for some seeds on a cold winter day :)
