hi,

I am about to buy a used 1dmkIIN but I don't know how many shoots has made. Is there a way to find it out?
the owner told me this cam has just 8000 shots.

Do you think it is worth to buy this camera with 17-35L lens for just 2000 euros? (camera seems to be perfect, the lens not so).
 
I know you can look at the number of shots, but as you reach number 9999 the counter is automatically reset to 0. how I know if the counter has been reset ?
 
thanks, but now I don't have the camera here because I still have to buy it. As it is used I wish I knew the number of shots before buying it.

Cancount is a program that tells you how many actuations the camera has done. Last time i checked it wasnt available for download now. Its a program about 2 meg in size so i can email it too you if you like. email me if you want it, my email is in my profile.

Someone else emailed me and asked for cancount and i thought that was you and sent it to this other guy. I did now recieve "your" email and sent it to you too. You should have it by now. Glad i could help.

I sent to to you using my yahoo email address as my regular email might get shutdown for to many file attachments. If anyone else wants it try emailing the guys i allready sent it to.

(Fifth time). It's not accurate. It grossly understates the true number.
 
I don't know. I had Canon do it. They can give you the correct number, at least that what they told me it was...
