Fake 5D price??

Just seaching the net for some retailprices on the new 1D3, and I stumpled upon this
unbeleavble low price for a 5D

Only 980$ for a 5! :O

Is this to betrusted or is this just another scam?

Hope you can help me - I like tis FullFrame soooo much

at http://www.resellerratings.com . There are scammers out there offering low prices. Then they will try to sell you what comes with the camera as high priced extras or charge you ridiculously high prices for media and lenses.

I don't know if that site includes international merchants. But the rule is if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

Registered om March 30, 2007. Violates the trademark of http://www.cameraworld.com . Fake Verign seal. And credit-card checkout "temporary" broken so you have to pay by bank wire transfer instead.

This one is set up to steal money, and also to phish for credit card numbers and associated three digit CVC2/CVV2 numbers. If you've given them any personal information, you should contact your bank immediately to check for irregular account activity.

Careful. "the-camera-world.com" is not listed at Resellerratings. The one listed, "cameraworld.com" is a different store. "the-camera-world.com" is not a bait&switch outfit. It is a site that will steal your money, your identity and your credit card details. This is a lot worse that bait&switch.

A real one should cost 2600-2800. A fake one shouldn't cost more than $150.00. No more than $20 if it's a fake one made of chocolate.

I believe mfurman directed his message to Kongleif. With no posting credibility, Kongleif could merely be a scammer advertising his one-stop shop.

My bad. I thought "signed up" referred to my reporting here about wasting time by signing up as a user at that bogus website just to see how completing a purchase worked out.

Beware of http://www.the-camera-world.com . They are not a legitimate VeriSign Secured site.

No lock in shopping cart and VeriSign is investigating this site for fraudulent use of VeriSign Gold Seal logo.

The company is based out of NY, web servers are in Sunnydale, CA. so they are under federal internet laws.

...if its too good ($960.00) to be true...
