Why is the search function down so often?

I try not to post a lot of repetitive threads but the search command seems to be down often.

Nikon 18-200mm
sigma 10-20mm

Probably due to load on the severs.

This is not intended as a complaint, but honestly the search function as implemented is of moderate usefulness anyway... though I have to admit I have found a few items in the past.

Go to google, and use:
"your search term" 1030 site:dpreview.com
(Note: 1030 limits the search to the Nikon SLR Lens forum)

Or...

If you have the Google toolbar you can put the search term into the search box, then click the little down arrow next to the G and choose "current site." It will search the current site and bring up the usual Google list of hits.
