Viva Chicago

Cubfan,

You managed to catch urban atmosphere. Very nice pictures although, I have to admit, I'm not fond of photos takes with tilted camera.

Took some photos this weekend. The weather was unbelieveable, and
I was able to take pictures around Michigan Avenue as my girlfriend
had to run some errands. Here ya go, a peak into my weekend...

thanks Jim

there's a lot of great architecture here in the city, i've gotten a good amount of practice.
I really admire your style and your talents. You capture
architectural subjects very well.

sometimes I try to shoot from a different perspective. However, in this case I couldn't get a wide enough angle, so I was struggling to incorporate everything I wanted into the picture. So I had to tilt the camera to fit everything in.

CubFan,

Love the pics ... having lived and worked in the Chicago area for 3 1/2 years in the past, I am very fond of the city. Looks like the weather was pretty decent for this time of year. Thanks for sharing.

I live in Bucktown, right near Wicker park- just a couple of blocks north of North Avenue. I spend a lot of time over on North and Milwaukee, taking pictures of all of the people & buildings...

I really like those pics too!

I live 2 blocks away from where most of those pics have been taken, and I can tell it's not easy to have a good perspective in a shot.

Just went to the Sony store on Michigan Av today to try the F707 (I still have a old Kodak), and it was snowing more than I never seen here (I moved here last June).

I will go to Paris in a couple of months, I will try to get some good pics (I will have my F707 by then). I will use your pics as an inspiration!

Fred.
A picture of "my" Italian Beef dipped with peppers.... :-(

Seriously, though. Those are some incredible pictures. Do you
have any from Rosehill Cemetary?

I also wouldn't mind seeing Dillinger's gravestone....

Thanks so much for sharing, I always enjoy your photos. Man I miss
that city.....
