For those looking for the real thing: I know B and H finally has them in stock again.

FYI: I originally got the cheapy Chinese version on eBay and the fitting was so poor, I never even successfully mounted it on my D200. The MC-30, which I just rec'd, is perfect. Of course, for 55 dollars, it better be.

Thank you Eric.

Just ordered one. I had been trying to get one for almost a year.

Kind Regards,
Rusty F.

Does this also fit the D200?

Is there a better model from Nikon for the D200, or is this the state of the art?

It fits the D200.

If you are looking for an upgrade look at the MC-36, It does a lot more for your money and it is a lot more money..lol.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - ' Wow! What a ride!'

Nope, you have much better feel with the mc30 then with mc36 wich has the same feel as a shutterrelease while the mc30 trvels much further. So, more space between af and finally releasing shutter!

The mc 30 has more an old shutter release feel to it.

mc 30 and mc36 are the ones for 10 pin contacts. The mc 30 is the old style and the mc36 has long expore features, hence the higher price.
