I was looking at the 70-200f4 L IS at Beachcamera.com and she wondered what I was doing. I replied that I was just lusting over a lens. The next thing I know, I got an order confirmation!!!!

Bob, very nice and thoughtful. I expect your Wife likes Jewelry -- perhaps you should check -- then reciprocate with such favor [Grin]....

Are you sure you didn't just accidentally hit the "checkout" button? :)

I was agonizing over getting the 135mm f2L last night and my wife said just order it!

A few years when I was starting to go digital, she bought me the Epson 2200 printer....

Nothing says love like photo gear!

I am a little suspicious- I wonder what other charges are going to
show up on the card!
Well, if it's jewelry, then she just saved you some time!

I had the same experience in January when my wife got me a 300 2.8L IS.

I should warn you that you are about to get a BIG list of things that she would like done around the house!!

After using the new lens, I find it was worth every room I painted!!

Yes, reciprocation of some sort is definitely required. Maybe not jewelry though - my wife has told me not to buy her any more jewelry since she thinks I spend too much on it.

I would definitely give her a day at the spa for starters. Surprise her when she'll least expect it.

funny that .My wife ,a frugal lass ,will soon chime in at my so called prolific spending until a new DSLR or decnt lens arrives .A strange silence descends and a few days later it s part of the family being used by both of us .If only she played Fender guitars but she would probably end better than me ,like photography .
