...it will be good to share the settings. Apeture setting? flash
ext or on board etc.
It was one of my first trial with the Raynox 250, last Tuesday 15 March.

Settings : Speed 1/1000 F9.O Iso 1600 . NO FLASH. Taken outise on an apple tree with the normal sunshine. I think, I had good luck. Don't think I will be able to renew the same !
Anyway, you got the focus on the eyes just that bit on the top. So
you were there. Get a little lower and parallel to the insect to
get the entire fly within the DOF. Flash is rather harsh, so it
will be good the diffuse it some.
..I just want to share with you, to get the advice of an expert !

Wow great shots. Don't know how you are so steady hand held especially if one hand is holding the extra flash! Don't know that I can get that steady even with a monopod . . .thanks they were great!

Simply wonderful shots, and that ant-mimicing spider is a new one on me. One thing: Is there any way to get more DOF, or is that a function of the Raynox 250? Thanks.
