Shot today...raining...Pepper was looking out at the rain.

Leah

DavidP,

Well, as you can see from this shot, taken just before. She was saying "I'm bored with this and I am not going to pose for you". She did finally agree to one more shot after I moved that big pillow that she knew would ruin the shot. The window light did the rest! : )

LOL -- other than the pillow, I like that shot as well.

shure they are around a lot, and always look great, but they are also the most difficult to photograph, they won't hold still, and as soon as you pay any attention, they move,... the shutter anoyes them, and don't you dear flash them..... sweet pets.... oh, now, where is my camera, go get it fast, quiet, argh , too late! too dark, too noisy this camera... 2 shots most.

tips: one of my other great shot, was outside on the deck, would grain and furr next to each other, with a 70-200mm, handheld, delta 100 B&W, on ground level, closeup, no filters.

Lovely shot! I would bring out the green in the eyes with Photoshop, though. I usually do that with my cat pictures.--Sandy Santrawww.pbase.com/santra

Robert,

Nice mood in your shot. Pepper's been posing for me since she was just a kitten, I guess she's a keeper...have a look!

You know, we'll all be sorry we did this in the morning!

....and they make the decision on who is one of them. And that changes.

I have an old photo of Simon, a large Siamese, my cousin and me. Simon is older than the little girl and bigger too. He lived to be 18 years old.

Tomorrow morning I am going to see about getting cataracts removed. I wish their staff had a cat and a camera person there. I would feel better.

Here is Tom. He wanted Pepper to see his picture. He is 11. I am sure that his photo has been seen here before but here he is. He rules the roost!

Ron,

Tom is beautiful. The oldest cat I've had, Harriet, was 13. She was a great mouser.

Now about that cataract surgery...surely you're much too young to have cataracts ; -) . You should talk to Don Cohen, he's the resident ophthalmologist. You don't have to have them removed unless you really have trouble with what your lifestyle demands you know. I've been an ophthalmic tech since 1983 and I've worked for several doctors. Some who always recommend cataract surgery. Then some who recommend it when the patient has an actual complaint. I personally prefer the later approach. Do you have trouble? A person with cataracts can see nearly 20/20 on a black and white chart, but if you add a bit of glare the vision will drop like a rock. Do you know what kind of cataract you have? Don't be too worried about cataract surgery...if you knew how many surgeries were done every day it would blow your mind. Eighteen minutes and the surgeon is done. You do want to be clear with the doctor where you would like your focus to be after surgery. Better for near, distance, somewhere in between. Talk about that for sure.

"You do want to be clear with the doctor where you would like your focus to be after surgery." Does that include Foresight?
I will find out today what is going on with the cadillacs. Thanks for the tip!

My father had them removed a few years ago. It was during the first part of my son's baseball season. At the end of the season he played in the father/son game. He played catcher for 5 innings. That will always amaze me.--Ron Warren

David, I don't know how many times I have went outside in the morning and seen cat fur covering the ground. It will look like somebody ran over a cat with a lawnmower. I will check Tom out and he won't have a scratch on him.

On the other hand he has a small rubber Winnie the Pooh that he just loves.--Ron Warren
