Can anyone tell me if this is a lens that wil work on my D50? I cannot find out what mount it is, so I was curious if this was one of Nikons lenses that would fit anything. It comes off of a N8008. Thanks for any help

The 8008 isn't really that old, should work for you. But, I'm no expert.

Its a fully manual AIS lens so it might not be compatable with all Nikon DSLR's but it should work fine on the D200...FWIW, its works great on my Sigma SD10 too.

He did say it's an AF lens in his title.
If it's an AF lens, don't worry, just use it. You shouldn't have any issues with any Nikon mount AF lens with your D50.
From the reviews I've read, it's a good lens, but the 60mm AF is better.
Of course, if you're getting the 55mm AF for free, then that's a good deal too.
