Take an old bunch of supermarket tulips your wife is about to junk, set up a black foam core behind them, put your camera on a tripod with the remote release, light it with a 60W natural light bulb & shoot.

Not much PS needed on this one. Just some post resize smart sharpening.
Thanks for looking. jp

My photos? Steal 'em, abuse 'em, post 'em whatever from the STF website. My studio photos NO, no.

It helps that the r1 is so fascinating to play with. The swiveling LCD sure helped here cause I was holding the release & the foam core too. Got it in 4 shots though.

I was only joking! Even an old color blind guy like me can see THOSE colors. Simply beautiful!

BTW, tulips seem to die so gracefully.

I was sitting in bed last night with my laptop and a P200 taking pictures of the bedroom. I decided to see how well the P200 would do macro with the flash. I started taking close-ups of my wifes head. This really irratated her. But when I enlarged it 100% where she could see how much gray hair she has...well, I've been banned from using my camera at close range.

I decided not to post the photo of hair.

P.S. I loved the Tulips JP. And your use of the camera indoors.

I had 2 advantages. The R1's remote release & the articulated LCD on top of the camera. Both a big help.
But good luck.
