Bald Eagle Pictures

Just got our FZ7 last week and took it up to the lake this past weekend. I was ice fishing with some friend, and a bald eagle came in to eat our dead minnows. I got some good shots (and video!). Amazing animals.

Eagles are great, a few days ago I took my dog out and saw a huge fight between a Broad-Winged Hawk and a Bald Eagle. They would fly around and clash in mid air, after they hit each other about 6 times I ran inside to get my camera but by then the hawk was resting and the Eagle was just flying around.

You should dump those minnows closer to the house.

When we hay I will catch and kill a few rats or mice and put them on hay bales. The immature eagles which are worst hunters and hungrier than the mature ones will come in around fifty feet or so away from us. You can watch them fighting their impulses of being afraid of people and being hungry and wanting to grab the mouse before the mature ones do. After a few crows show up and steal the rodents you can throw the rodents up in the air and the eagles will snatch them. Truly breathtaking!
