707 or minolta D7

this is confusing. I already own a cd1000. I just want to experiment with another camera. I want a camera with better night shots and action shots. I am happy with my cd1000, but i feel it lacks in those types of pictures. Anybody have a real user experience and real suggestions, thanx

The F707 is a great camera. I own several high end digitals. I also have the 707 and d7. The 707 has a lot of oows and ahhhs. The d7 has a lot of words and expressions that Phil would not like me to use here. The 707 is a joy to use. The best thing I can say about the d7 is it makes a great paper weight : )

You should stick to 707 - it is great at nightshots, has a fairly fast autofocus (at least for digital cameras) and a far superior battery management.

I went on a photo trip with a friend and he had to change the batteries (akkus) in his d7 after 20 shots (3 of it with flash).
