i just purchased Samsung Syncmaster 244T however,my graphic card does not support the 1920x1200 resolution. Can someone tell me which graphic card they recommend? greatly appreciated

What will your motherboard support? Do you play games or only process pictures? Do you need "outstanding"/ professional quality $$$.
Look at some of the PC build messages there are some good suggestions in them.

Most of the newer cards fit your answer. What interface does your motherboard use? Some of the best 2D cards are: ATI FireGL series or NVIDIA Quadro FX series.
Memory Size: 128MB or above

Standard PCI ? not many choices
ATI 100-505139 or PNY VCQ4280NVS-PCI-PB

PCI express x16 has a bunch of cards to choose from depending on how much you are willing to spend.

Congrats...the 244T is a fabulous monitor for image quality!

Just about any AGP or PCI-Express 16 card will drive it.

What is the specific card you have atm and have you tried updating the drivers for it?

You do understand that there is the traditional PCI slot, which a LONG time ago had graphics cards commonly used in it, and then there is the PCI Express slot now which replaced the AGP slots?

Standard PCI slots still exist in computers but not for graphics cards. However there are some graphics cards from companies like Matrox that use the old PCI slots. This is not preferable though.

You understand the difference between PCI and PCI Express, right?

Here's a photo: (old PCI slot is on the bottom. The longer slots on top are PCI Express (X16).

Sorry Martin... I was directing my question at Ramin but as I read the threads here in flat view I always forget that in threaded view it looks like I'm asking you.
