Hi, I c alot of pix being posted in the forum and just wanted to find out what is the simplest way to do that (copy from file and paste in message body?). What setting would make it appropriate both for fast download by readers as well as not loosing too much IQ inorder to get C&C from readers.

you need a web hosting photo site like Pbase or photobucket. upload some photo's then cut and paste the url of the photo you want to post in the thread.

Hi yesfan

Thanx for the reply. Guess I wasn't clear in my original msg. What I meant was actually posting the pix in the threat msg, not the link.

As subject has been raised again perhaps someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I use photobucket and have submitted images, however, if I am replying to a post and decide to submit an image as soon as I click on photobucket I lose dpreview and have to sign in again and find thread? I guess its me, would appreciate any tips.

I assume that's just a problem caused by the way you are using the browser.

At the very least, you would need to open two separate browser windows, one for dpreview, the other for your photo host. But of course there are several browsers availabal that make things easier by allowing multiple tabs within the browser, to switch easily between websites without losing your location an any other site.
For example, Firefox, Internet Explorer 7.0 or Opera can all use tabs.

As a last resort, open notepad, create a new text document and temporarily paste your links there, before going to the Dpreview site. That should not be necessary, but will avoid any problems.
Regards,
Peter
