Japanese Gardens

What is that and how and why did you do it?

This is really interesting. I agree when something is photographed a lot a new and different approach is more fun. I did read your comments at the beginning. I'm not sure from that how much if anything was done with filters on the lens vs. post processing. Can you give a few more hints to someone just learning some of the more artisitic aspects of photograpy.

Thanks for your interest. While the camera is on a tripod, take a photo of a scene with a lot of greenery and then slip on your infra-red filter and take the same shot. In Photoshop, boost the saturation and add blur to your colored shot.Remove the red color of your infra-red shot and boost the contrast. Then layer the colored shot over the IR shot and reduce opacity.I hope this makes sense, once you get the workflow down it's not difficult but it is time consuming. If you are interested in IF photography do a Google search and you will find several good ones as I did.

Many thanks. I will do some more research on the topic, and yes your workflow makes sense. It may be a time consuming but now you have really cool art and not just "postcards"
