HP 9180 Disconnected Status Problem

Ron try hitting the Menu button on the printer and go through some of the setting. Like the ink levels. Then the OK button.

I'll have my NEW B9180 tomorrow I hope. The one I have always gives a Paper Jamb error, even when there is NO paper anywhere in the printer.

Hp originally wanted to send my a refurb WITHOUT new print heads or ink cartridged. I had to go to the upper service techs to straighten it out.

Ya are on the nail head Ed---I hit menu FIRST TO WAKE IT UP and printer took command and printed away. Oh! the mysteries of life---ron s.

Well I got and set up the new one last night (used my old ink cartridges to do the initial setup and printed a few images with them before changing to the NEW ink cartridges). It has the new firmware, 20061019 KPP0024A, BUT manufacturing date is in September, don't know how something can be made 1 month before the firmware date. So it seems I did get a refurb that was updated. I really don't care about that as long as it works. Anything is better then the first one.
I'm about to see if it wakes up after a nights sleep by folding down the SMT.
