5D/D200 can o' worms... :)

My point is that you are casting a wide net one people that may own both cameras. Sure there are some "trolls" but more often thean not, the people who get labled as troll for criticizing Nikon are dual system users that woudl like to see Nikon to offer more choices.
Cheers,
JB
more will come. Don't you dare compare the godly Canon 5D to the
insignificant Nikon D200.

I have not read all the posts here, but when the first samples of
the 5D and the D200 came out from japanese sites doing comparision
tests, I downloaded them and played with the files. I noticed if I
sharpended the photos as much as I could before halos started to
appear, I could sharpen the D200 files twice as much as the 5D
files. After that the differences in resolution was much smaller.
The exact same thing I observed and the exact same thing this thread is showing. For some reason, the trolls and ignorance are still arguing on this fact non-stop I was out taking pictures. Yeah, taking pictures.

I guess the word got out in the Canon Forums that the 5D was being
misaligned here.

It is comical.

The framing differances are a valid point. Fair enough.

But at the end of the day, the fact remains that the 5d still is
just not that big an IQ improvement over the D200. The true IQ
diferences between the cameras is slight, at best.

End of story, nothing to see here, you can all go back to the Canon
forum, thanks for participating... :)
As you predicted, this can of worms are out the can and won't go back until this thread hits 150. Real comical that those trolls can accept the FACT that there's no magic about their godly 5D. Trolls read this:

Your 5D is just the same as the lowerly D200 in many ways, and worse in some ways. Understood?

I totally agree that Edward has a point, which is supported by this
test.
of tricking yourself...

any competent photographer will see this "test" to be flawed.
How flawed is this test? This is the "test" I referred to:

I'm afraid you do not understand the purpose of this thread.
Stating some facts, like there's nothing "Magical" about 5D's IQ. I totally agree with that.
this thread is a disservice to Nikon forum. Trojan Horse if you
wish. Canon should be already awarding some grants for doing a good
PR job for them :))
You need you head examined, Julia.

fine qualities of the 5D, but most of this would apply to the
in-camera jpegs. Well done RAW conversions, sharpened properly,
are razor sharp for both cameras with much less of the "soft" D200
effect to compromise its standing.
Well said FACT.
