These shots were taken on the CERN Laboratory site. Some of the old equipment from the particle accelerators has been cleaned up and laid out in a scientific sculpture garden. The shapes and colours appealed.

Those are terrific shots Nick, I especially like the copper whatever with the pipe running vertically up the right side.

Excellent images, I really enjoyed looking at them. It would have been interesting to also see some wider views to get a feel for the overall exhibit.

These are well done, and very fascinating subject matter. As someone else suggested, these are very reminiscent of Jules Verne material! Very nice captures.

I'd actually forgotten about these shots until I was transferring galleries between Pbase and Smugmug. They were taken in April last year when my wife and I took a school party to Geneva and CERN. The equipment is no longer in use but does look very Jules Verne. Unfortunately there are no wider views of the garden - it is surrounded by some rather ugly concrete buildings I seem to remember.
