I am thinking of buying another 550ex as a slave unit. The best price I found is 269 quid in Jessops. I bought the first one cheap because I got a discount for buying it with some lences together. Has anyone seen a lower price? Thanks

Try http://www.kpprof.com . They have it listed at £210. Which, depending on whether or not VAT is included (I couldn't find a statement either way) is either good or a real bargain.

I have no connection with them, other than living just around the corner and having bought by EOS 3 there for a good price.

I've used Camtech for L lenses and you get a 12mth warranty.

I'm after a 550 as well, so I checked this mob. The price is ex-vat and delivery so total comes in at just over GBP255.

I found out by clicking "buy", so I wasn't oo impressed with their web site.

Thanks everyone! I got it from Jacobs (near oxford st.) in London for 249.99. That's their marked price.
