Hi Larry

Great shot - magnolia, isnn't it? yes, its time for them to bloom - how exciting - I miss these trees so much - aren't they native to your neck of the woods? thanks for bringing it

Hi Ruvy, well you did assume well but these are not magnolias. Rather called a tulip tree. Magnolias bloom in the summer and have evergreen leaves that last all year round. Thanks so kindly for your response. I do appreciate it very much.
with respect,
Larry

Hi Larry,

Nice picture!

I noticed that you said to Ruvy that this is not a Magnolia. I think you are not correct, this is a Magnolia. I have two of them in my garden, but they will not flower for another month or so. Tulip trees are something completely different.

By the way is your background created in Photoshop?
I have not learnt how to do that yet.

Hi Nina, I live amoung many Magnolias....if this is one it is a strange one. Magnolias keep there leaves through the year with a waxy leaf. I don't think this is one of them. Anyways it is great to hear from you.

Hi Larry

Does yours look like this:

This one grows in my front garden. It is Magnolia Soulangiana. The one you are thinking about is evergreen and glossy leaved and it is called Magnolia Grandiflora.
Nice picture!
