Hand Strap

Thanks! That thread is actually why I asked. It doesn't seem as if there's any specifically shown with the BG-E3 in place, so I was wondering if anyone was using it that way.

Tacheon:

The Camdapter hand strap works perfectly with the BG-E3 battery grip.

There is a photo on their website of the hand strap on what looks like maybe a 5D.

The grip has a feed through bar on the bottom that accepts the soft webbing from the hand strap. The Canon Model and the Hakula model actually work better with the grip installed (IMHO) than they do on a camera without the grip. If you do not have a grip installed then when you use these models you need to screw in the supplied adapter into the tripod thread on the camera -- it works, but it changes the feel of the camera. If you have a grip you don't have this problem.

Most people's experience is that for an XT class camera the grip and handstrap combo is the way to go. On a larger camera I often use the hand grip with an Optech neoprene neck strap. The hand strap gives a good security and allows you to manoever the camera better.

Let us know what you decide, and how you like the product you buy.

Cheers.
