audio cable to sound card

Hello every one

I am trying to run audio cable from my preamp output jack to the input jack to my sound card but the problem is that my preamp doesn't not have an output jack so my question is can I use the head phone jack as a output source to the input jack to the sound card........thank andy
 
Make sure you are using the line-in socket on the sound card and it should work OK.
