This has been the way the Dslr market has been evolving since the past 12 years and it will not stop soon.

if it's even CALLED a 6D.

hows about you NOT just randomly spew out your unresearched "thoughts"? I mean, haven;t there been enough "5D replacement" threads?

I will not react as this thread deserves a silent death

I truly mean no disrespect or slight to anyone of the previous posters, but I just think posts that ask people not to share their opinions are contrary to the whole idea of DPReview forums. It's a "FORUM" for goodness sakes! Look the word up in the dictionary. That's what forums are for, sharing opinions. JUgglrvr wrote, "hows about you NOT just randomly spew out your unresearched "thoughts"?" I think that's just wrong. Who appointed you the gatekeeper of which posts are worthy and which are not?! Hows about this: if you think a post is beneath you, then just igore it?

Do not listen to new camera haters they will be first in line to get 6D
I agree with you it will be cheaper than 5D and will have dust reduction.
The real questin is how much cheaper?

How is that an opinion? Sounds more like a fanboy trolling statement. Well it will be obviously better and?? At least say something worth discussing. That's like saying the sky is blue.

man don't tell me to do a search because i'be read all sorts of stuff on sensor cleaning and i wanted to get some current opinions on cleaning my 5d sensor.

when i had the 300d rebel i used to frequently clean the sensor with a homemade spatula, fluid and lens tissue.

i only had to wet clean the 20d sensor once in 8 months of faiirly heavy use and all but once the rocket blower did the trick.

but given the nature of the 5d's dust attracting abilities i wanted to see what you all are doing to keep your 5d sensor clean.

thanx for the help.

So far, Digic III looks lousy - and I personally think the Rebel XT is a better cam than the XTi in terms of IQ. Both of those examples challenge your hypothesis.

I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't anything even remotely interesting to the serious shooter in the 5D update.

You'll have to ignore the gallery's collection of bad compositions, improper exposures, and amateurish post processing. ;)

I think the 7D will be worth the wait!

Personally, I would wait until the EOS 9D MkIV shows up. Aside from all the updates on the current hard- and software, it has tractor beams to get the object closer to the camera. Canon's marketing department tried to call it Scotty's Space Rebel but the producer didn't like that...

Okay, sorry for that, but it's only my first post on the forum. I'm waiting for canon's PMA announcements to see if the 1D MkIIN is up for a replacement soon. If not, I'll get one, stat!

Pieter,

I'm interested in taking some flying lessons. I don't care for an official paper, I only want to taste how it feels to fly a plane. Do you know where to go?

... the sky is grey here and we had snow yesterday that didn't stick to the ground, so it gave us a mucky situation.

jez, aren't we all bored to death ... I mean being in a situation where you respond to a 6D thread.

Ultimately, the fellow is right, we may one day see a 6D ... I think that day will arrive once the 60D is out so that Canon has a coherent camera range :o)

What do you guys think about Lightroom? I think it's neat :o)
