Hello all,

It was one of these days, when I woke up and decided that is time for me to be all digital.
For choosing the right kind of Camera, well, for that I must thank you.

Reading the posts in the forum, and after watching Shay's night Photographs (and others too :-),

I knew that Sony DSC-F707, "Dark Angel" as you like to call her, or "Seven" how I call her (Just like the Borg character Seven of nine from the Star trek universe) is the one for me...

Well, from "Seven" and myself, here is my first photo for you:

Just to fix a small typo...
Hmm... even if she is an Angel for me, Dark Avenger is the correct name ;-)
But, you all know that.

Gil.

Welcome to STF, Gil. Good camera choice!

I really like your first shot! I've been in a photojournalism thing lately and this one really appeals to me. Capturing meaning in everyday routines is hard to do. I live everything about that shot.

Welcome Gil, I must admitt that I took a look in the pic before finishing to read your messege (I realy liked it) and then I saw the Azriely towers in the background and I was very surprized. Can I understand that Sony started importing DA to Israel? or did you import it privatly like I did? Its very important in terms of repaire service I'm waiting for the day that Sony will import the DA for some time now.

That way or another congratulations on your new camera, I'm sure you will have the greatest time with it (I know I do).

Hello, Again.

Taking pictures is great; I'm doing this hobby for 19 years now, when I received my first camera in the age of 13.

Playing with lights as an opposite to the dark is my favorite subject, (you can see an example on the Food challenge), and that what I liked in the Sony-DSC-F707.

More Photos will come, as I discover the hidden potential of my "Seven"...

Gil.

Helen,

My mother told me not to play with matches... I didn't listen to her...
Great for me, not so great for the red Sweet pepper :-)

Thank you very much for your comment on the Challenge entry.

Gil.
