LX2 Case

Hi BG

I have trawled what is posibly the entire internet for a ready made case

They are listed as available on the USA Panasonic site, but not on the UK site

I have a query wih Pana. UK - If I ever get a reply I will post it
There are other threads extolling the virtues of Luigi cases [From Italy]
Seem to be expensive and only if you want an 'Ever-ready Case'

As an alternative to the one you mention - The Leica D-Lux 3 case might do the job - but not sure if the front 'finger' projection on the LX 2 would be in the way. I dont have a local Leica store so cannot check
Also I think the are 2 versions. A regular 'Drop in' and an 'Ever-ready'
Maybe someone could confirm that

If you find a source - would you please post

Thanks for that Brian

As I like a drop in version and to carry the camera on my belt, the DMW-CLXA1 seems to fit the bill. The Lugi I believe has a strap; also a little expensive.

The Leica D-Lux looks great so willl check on that in my area and will post back.

I did read that they are the drop in type - friction fit. May be you could find some references through a search. There are more pictures on this forum, the Leica one, or maybe the Open forum. These included recent ones of a Luigi in black with cover open and closed. Give it a search.

I did a check on ebay [Not a fan]
Came across a Panasonic case similar to the format you require
but without a Panasonic number - supposed to be for the LXn
However I checked the dimensions which were 4.4 x 2.6 x 1.6 [Inches]

This would not take the LXn with the lens cap - so beware if you were tempted

Hi

it's not a hard case but I use a Tucano Rapida bought from the former Dixons @£9.99 its made of neoprene and sits comfortably on my belt.
The LX2 fits snug and it's easy to use.

I think I would rather wait until the DMW-CLXA1 is avilable in the UK, or someting simular. bgtuck

Best I could find out is that it is a Japanese option
Its on the Panasonic.jp site

The other Best 'Case Image' found so far on the forums is on UKdigital
Using the forum link shows it OK. But entering ukdigital site doesnt show it
May give them a call tomorrow

I purchased the case in the EU. It cost €80 plus shipping and insurance all in all it came to around €114. A lot of money for a camera case I know. But it's very well made and will certainly outlast the camera. I always carry my Lx 2 with me and the velcro flap makes it easy to get to quickly. I have the brown version, see link below:
