Hawks & Hummer

You have to be aweful proud of that shot - I sure would be. Beats
anything I've been able to do. Gosh!
Thanks Ken,

I really love your little humming bird though, I always wanted to take a good photo of one of those, but they are so small, and getting close was so hard.

I have no idea what was wrong with this hawk, as I just kept getting closer to him, and every now and then he would how a few feet away, but let me get really close again, for at least a few minutes, till he flew off - free as a bird!

I'd been trying to take a good hawk photo this whole previous year, but could never get close enough either.

But this person we were visiting asked if i wanted to see a hawk, and said he was in the next field, I felt really blessed of God, as those pictures were the result.

I've heard that if a Raptor has just finished a big meal they are a little slower at flying off - which could be the case here given the blood on it'ts beak. Fortune smiled on the opportunistic photographer :)

Hey Ken some great shots here. I would love to get some good hawk pics like these. As for the Hummer I thought I would give you a belated christmas present. I hope you don;t mind, you did say you wanted the branch removed.
Have a great NewYear too

I got probably my sharpest ever FZ hummer shot yesterday. Bonus was
a nice background. Just wish that little brach wasn't there...
