You may be picking up the yellow cast from room lights due to the slow shutter speed. This is especially prominent if using the new energy saving flourescent bulbs, as the white balance seems to have a hard time with the yellowish light from them.

thanks for all answers but i tried all whitebalance settings without result.
in fact this yelloworange cast is especially strong when i use slowsync flash
and allow shutter times longer than 1/8, the longer the shutter opens
the stronger the cast.

I tried an fx07 and experienced no colour cast so i thought maybe the cam got a fault.

can you see any yellow cast on this pic?
auto wb, with slowsync and 1/2 shutterspeeds.

Have you tried the custom setting with a sheet of white paper(White set)
Page 63 in the manual. I just tested it with my FX01 and it works
just fine to eliminate the orange cast.

poopooo and murry, thank you for your input.

yes i tried manual wb setting, it made now difference.

poopooos sample and your experiene make me believe
that its maybe faulty. i am going to get a new one.

thank you.

I have tried some more samples of CUSTOM setting with a different
layout in my living room and I now cannot remove the orange
cast when using the slow sync flash. I tested many different settings

I am convinced the camera WB is not adjusting incadescent Kelvin
color temperature when using flash. It works fine without flash. I don't
think changing your camera for another FX01 will solve the problem,
it appears to be a design defect.

poopooos samples may not be using an incadescent light source
with a low Kelvin temperature which would explain the results.

I don't use the slow sync flash enough to concern me. If I have
to use it I can adjust the color in post processiing.
