In today's mail came a letter stating that the Epson Ink Cartridge Case claim has been approved and gives an Epson Store code.

After a long wait, I can now spend the whole of $45.

Any others?

Better late than never. When did you submit your request? Because all I've gotten is their JUNK e-mail.

Epson got off way too lightly on the lawsuit. In my own case, I bought
over 400 color and numerous B&W Epson 1270/1280 carts but figured
"Why bother make a claim?" for so little a refund. It's a BAD joke and
Epson should pay per purchaced cartridge that they chipped and ripped
folks off with!

There is far too much ink left in the existing carts that people still buy
today and Epson then says are empty.

I've got big bags of used Epson cartridges here.

(can't complain yet about the Epson Pro carts tho... they do empty).
Drebeler.

i got mine 2 days ago as well - and was quite surprised... it was at least summer when input the web form.

agree with the above on Epson getting off lightly, but $45 in my pocket was worth the 5 minutes it took to input the form!

I received mine, too. But I don't think they have been activated yet. I tried redeeming it at the Epson store with no go. The settlement website page still has an update of 11/14/2006.

Has anyone actually SPENT their claim?

Thanks,

-Ed

Probably not. But most of the money goes to the lawyers.

These lawsuits are not happening for the good of the comunity ...

This class action lawsuit really put Epson in its place. They didn't have to admit they did anything wrong and you "refund" can only be spent in the Epson store. Frankly the judge that approved this needs a class action suit brought against him. What a joke!

But, the lawyers made a killing. I bet they didn't get money only spendable in the Epson store!

Reminds me of the class action suit against one of my credit card companies. We all got credited 7 cents to our account. Yep, 7 cents. I wonder how much the lawyers got.

just buy a chip resetter? On both my 1270 and 2200 I can reset the chips and use them until they are dry............
