Could someone tell me how many charges a canon lithium-ion battery can undergo? Also, is it ok to charge them before the battery has gone low?
thanks

Come on now, this question cant be so hard to get an answer for?!
Id really appreciate it.
I still have and use two batteries for the Nikon D100 which were purchased in Feb. 2003 and they still do a reasonable job.these type of batteries hardly last 2 years (I think
2.5 years is the recorded maximum).
Canon customer service is good about answering question through e-mail.Could someone tell me how many charges a canon lithium-ion battery

As others have pointed out there is also a time factor and if you are a casual (not commercial) photographer the time factor will likely be the deciding factor. Not the number of charges. The original battery for my 300D is going bad - purchased new 2
1/2+ years ago and I'm sure I haven't charged it anywhere near a
1000 times.
