I just ordered a E-20N for what I think is a pretty good deal.

I hope no regret this buy. But I was reaply wanting a new camera.

I was strugling bettewen the Finepix 6900, Minolta D7 or E-20.

At the end I got the E-20 because :

1. I have a C-3030 and I like the quality of the product. And it works like a charm.
2. Looks cooler than the other 2. It looks pro.

3. Manual zoom

I'm not a pro, I was wanting a good camara that I can keep for 5+ years or more (I think at 4.9mp there is not much you can improve for non profs in the future).

Boy if those are your only reasons for choosing the E, you got lucky ... but rest assured you're getting WAY more camera than the other two.

I also have just ordered an OLY E20N. Anxious to receive it! I have been struggling with the same decision and was also looking at the Finepix 6900, Minolta D7 and E-20.

I tried all and was extremely impressed with the E20 (at a price). The Finepix 6900 is nice but placement of controls (zoom) and electronic viewfinder (slow) were buugy to me. I have used an OLY D600L now for years and the speed of the optical viewfinder (not evd), zoom controls, and reliability were all factors.

The Minolta D7 was nice but feel and look (in that order) were a bother. I felt that the D7 was behind the Finepix 6900 as far as ergonomics and construction are concerned.

I'm sure that we'll be happy with the OLY E20.

Best,
Frank

Thank you fellows for your support

I have an E-10 and I feel confident you will be very, very happy with your E-20.

The only type of photography the E-10 is not so great for is fast-action photography, since it has a slow buffer and slow write times.

I do mainly landscape photography, so I could care less how slow the E-10/E-20 can snap off multiple photos. Many people who slam the E-10/E-20 forgot that for many photographers, speed is not important. It's all about image quality to us.

Uchhh!!..

OfficeMax says tha the E-20N is in BackOrder :((... I will have to wait for a week. uurrggg...

Btw. I was thinking that big companys don't do that thing of telling you that they have on the web and then send you a backorder message after you have and order placed.

I may be right behind you guys as I am "almost" ready to purchase the Oly e20n.

I have one grave reservation that I picked up from this forum:
Poor auto focus.

I own an Oly 3030 and am pleased as can be with it. However, as a former Nikon SLR owner, I miss an SLR.

Is anyone out there NOT having focus problems? I really have to feel much better about the focus before I take the plunge.

lo

Thanky, everyone.
