Kim, I agree, actually. I think this thread should not have been started in the first place. I responded, but it's about time we put it to rest. So here's another towards 150.

As in my first post in this thread toward top. I believe the photos are a part of (human) history and should not be hidden. I also believe they should not be glorified.

Talibans are not soldiers! I think of them as animals.

They are supporters and participants in terrorism, murder, suppression of women, and are religious freaks who deserve to be killed along with their cause in any way possible.
Who really gives a rats a--? Surely not me.

What sickens me is the gall of some people who sympathises with them. Obviously they have no connection to anyone involved in the WTC disaster.
JD
Jimmie, but if that saddened you, why express satisfaction at
"Taliban soldiers flying thru the air"? (if that is indeed a
picture from the current campaign). I would understand if that was
a photo of actual perpetrators who were directly involved in the
September atrocities meeting their punishment - that would be amply
justified; but we don't know these people, what they have done -
not the Taliban in general, but these specific people - yet are
prepared to cheer their death. In Afghanistan allegiances are
volatile; many former Taliban soldiers are now with the Northern
Alliance or back to civilian life.
The difference is that those Talibs were SOLDIERS AT WAR and they
KNEW that they could die and were apparently willing to do so to
protect someone would arrange for such a tragedy of epic
proportions to happen. Why is that some people who are so "willing"
to die for THEIR beliefs always send OTHERS to die instead?

I never said you lived in the US. When I said if YOU don't like it, I meant anyone in general. As for me being able to distiguish right from wrong, wrong=crashing a plane into a building that has EASILY 20,000 people working in them. right=paying back for what is wrong. The old saying goes, two wrongs don't make a right, so make one of the wrongs into a right..... As for me only watching my media, well, I live in the US, why would I watch any OTHER media? Plus, I wasn't even talking about the stupid people on OTHER countryies cheering, I was talking about the retards FROM other countries that live here in the US that were cheering... I honestly could give a cr*p about you feeling sorry for me.... I had no connection with anyone in the WTC, and I STILL think the way I do, imagine how someone feels who had a loved one who worked there and had their life taken from the ****** with the towel on his head who crashed the plane? Imagine how the people felt IN the plane (the Americans) who did not know what was going on? Imagine how you would feel if someone killed your loved one? Then see if you still feel the same way. Since you do not live here, OF COURSE you feel the way you do, THAT'S your perrogative(spell check) and I think your opinion SUCKS... but like I said, that's your opinion. My opinion is my opinion, take it or shove it.

Why should you watch other media? To get unbiased opinion of what is going on the other world.. And don't talk about losing loved ones, blah, blah.. I did live through Gulf war.. I know about tragedies, etc.. heck, I even have a POW cousin who still held in Iraqi Jails. I don't know whether she's live or dead.

I understand why you're angry but cheering for other people's deaths?? That's sad... You're not going to gain any thing with anger.. it's cycle unless someone puts an end to it..

My opinion sucks, eh? What can do you do about it? Nothing, zilch.. too bad for ya. I'm not going to waste my time with you anymore.
Let's agree NOT to agree.

How can I watch other media? Like I said, I'm in NJ, they broadcast American News, THAT'S ALL.... I wasn't really cheering for other's deaths, but more like, cheering for our victory at that point and time, as for your cousin as a POW... ok... for some reason, I find that, how should I word it, convenient for this discussion.

I agree to what I want > =)

Change Talibans to Americans and religious freaks to infidels and this could be Bin Laden speaking.

Glamour / Nude / Bikini pictures - Please do not embed such images in your messages, while we understand that such pictures (tastefully shot) are a big part of commercial photography we do have a worldwide audience and wide range of paying advertisers. If you wish to bring a gallery of such images to peoples attention then please just post a link.

But it's OK to show dead people

40 and counting.

I emailed Phil to see if he could increase the limit for this thread to 200 and he said no problem.

Since you live in Kuwait, were you happy to see the Coalition kick Saddam's butt all the way back to Baghdad? Did it make you angry that someone wanted to take over your country? Kill some of your people... perhaps a loved one? Change your way of life? Some of the people who tried to do just that died in that event too. Did you feel sorry for them?

It saddens me how our government react to the terrorism. Everyday, I watch criminals get caught or accused of criminal action. Am I angry about this? Sure. Do I judge them at the spot? No. I let it the jury decides that, then I will scorn them for their actions. It frightens me to see how we quickly point finger and attack a nation, and then after killing innocent civilians that we suddenly come up with evidences 'found' in the rubble of destroyed houses to justify this action?

It's not the war itself that I am concerned about, it's how we handle situation, it's how decision is made, it's how we use our power, our might. No state or kingdom in history ever stand forever. They all have downfall, even after hundreds of years or thousand of year. And it all began by a single mistake in handling situation and decision making. Let's not forget those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. I just hope our country is making the right decision.
It saddens me to think you are saddened .Anyone got a kleenex?

What innocent civilians? Where the evidence was found was in places where the planning of attacks were hatched. You are entitled to your opinion, just don't scorn people for expressing theirs. Maybe someday you will understand why the people here feel the way they do. Just let this thread die a natural death. Just express your opinion, then quit arguing with everyone about their opinions. You aren't going to change anything. That is evident by your "scorn then for their actions" remark.

I'm sorry Timbo... You've completely lost me. Are we talking about the death penalty now?

Here, let me keep it simple for you:

Fighting for one's country, cheering one's troops, defending one's freedom - GOOD.

Cheering enemy soldiers dying like it's a football game - BAD.

I honestly don't know where all that murder/victim/gang stuff you mentioned came from, but for the record, I am very much opposed to the death penalty - Just nt (I'm quite certain) for the reasons you probably think I am.

Fled
grin Well, I hope at the very least that somone other than you is
responsible for teaching him writing skills.

BTW, I'm neither with or against you. I support our troops and the
military actions we are taking 100%; however, the callous attitude
you and others here have displayed regarding the death of enemy
soldiers (and fellow human beings) repulses me.

Fled
What a monumental ego you have. How did you get appointed gate
keeper for people's feelings?

In what universe do your "feelings" add up to a feather-weight when
the family of a murder victim feels some gratification as the
murdering gang loses their lives? When it's a victim who was not
quite killed? When it's a friend of the victims? When it's a
stranger who's glad those individuals won't be celebrating and
planning further murders?

It's your holier than thou assumption of your own self importance
that most nearly qualifies as repulsive. Work on yourself for a few
decades instead of trying to instruct others on "right feeling".
You apparently need it.

Mephy,

You just told more about yourself and your backward bigoted belief system than you can possibly imagine. :)

Fled
As for "fellow human beings", those retards over in Afghanistan are
NOT my fellow human beings, they are FAR from it. Maybe yours,
maybe you are from India and that's why you are SO protective about
this subject. If so, that's your problem, if not, then you STILL
have a problem. How did you feel when the WTCs collapsed? I saw it
from work. I work in NJ on the 12th floor of a building and I
could see it all from here. For what they did, whether it was
actually the people that we are killing or not, THEY DESERVE to
die. That's the bottom line, take it or leave it.

GO USA!!!!!!
D*mn right...go USA! You're either with us or you're against us.
Like I said... there is a BIG difference between supporting our
armed forces, and cheering the death of the enemy. I'm very sorry
that you and others here have such a callous attitude toward life,
death, and war.
