I'm a Photoshop newbie, have v5.0, lots of plugins, and after reading all these posts decided to give it a serious try instead of my alternate favorites. But I'd sure benefit from your advice.

So, it would be much appreciated if you more experienced Pshop users would share what Photoshop steps and procedures (and in what order) you use on your images.

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm ... I'm a bit surprised no one is volunteering anything. I know there is lots of good advice you can share with me. I upgraded (bought & paid for) to PShop originally for making/tweaking graphics & logos for my course web site, & occational photo image touchup, but nothing serious. I've gone through the PShop tutorial, but it is so broad it's hard to translate some of it to just digital photos. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Bill,

There are so many places on the web to help you out. Just go to http://www.askjeeves.com/ and make a search for photoshop turorials. I will give you a couple of sites to start you off. You can find a good Tutorial CD here for a reasonable price. There is much information on them. It will help you learn just about anything that you want. http://www.vtco.com/vtcusa/default.htm http://www.mccannas.com/pshop/photosh0.htm

Buy the book "PhotoShop 5 Artistry" (there is also "Photoshop 5 & 5.5 Artistry"), deals with artistic elements of getting best out of digital images.

Go to your local Barnes and Noble book store. Get the official Adobe Photoshop instruction manual. It's white book about 1/2" thick, with a cd in the back cover. It will lead you by hand through each comand, and has examples.

Hi Bill,

I think you are getting the wrong idea that one is volunteering. PS cannot be learn from forum like this. It need to be shown and hands practical.

I have been learning ps for more than a year. Maybe I will tell you my experience how I started learning.

I started off ver 3 amd never took off. No wnat to guide and don't where to begin and start. When ver 5 release I actually took it seriously, learn from books, web site example and so on. Once you know how to use the tools (is a must) than learning to apply then is a challenge. I'm still learning.

You must have some basic. Then when you have a problem like how to do this, than some one familiar will help you.
You can write to me if you have problem.

Hope this help
