Before I continue, some recent pic posts for those interested;
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, after a lot of sound advice re. how to shoot a live spider, and following none of those recommendations, I opted for a different approach.
Spiders and wine glasses work fairly well ...
Clear wine glass, filled with sand/grasses makes it possible to get a decent shot or two. Oh, DO cover the top of the wine glass so that the spider don't try to escape
No person or beast (besides my fear levels) was/were hurt in this shoot
. Released the willing subject out into the wild (my garden, actually) after, and he scurried off in search of, well ... spider things?
So, with no further ado then,
SPIDER IN WINE GLASS:
Walking All Over ME:
the SANDSTORM: - the remnants of the sand added to the glass added quite an interesting effect IMO
the UNDERCARRIAGE: that's what happens when he walks up the side of the clear glass
the GREEN EYE: - First time I've seen a green eye. Anyone else?
There ya go, how to shoot a live spider then.
C&C welcome.
