This is a photo of the dyke taken yesterday 28th Nov. This is the area where I take most of my eagle and heron photos. There are over 30 kilometers of dykes around Richmond, this is the West Dyke Trail.
I thought you might be interested in seeing where i walk.

It is unusual for us to have this much snow but then this year has been crazy weather wise.

Who's been messing up the snow for John's photo?

Beautiful in photos. Even better in real time.

You certainly are a dedicated wildlife photographer, Hutch. It looks vvvery cold, mmmate.

Interesting shot, interesting area. And I'm looking forward to the next of your bird photographs.

Richmond BC? I probably should know by now, sorry.

I used to work for a Canadian company (I was here in Texas). Head office was on River Road in Richmond. right accross the street was the dike for the Fraiser River I believe. I just know the water was higher than the first story of the building. ;^)

beautiful city, area, and people.

Vancouver was one business trip that I never minded making.

you shot is really nice BTW.

Never would thought I'd see this much snow in Vancouver. But, then, we were in Victoria for Christmas, 1996, when they had 60 INCHES of snow there and only three snowplows in the whole city! We were snowbound for a full week, while it melted ;-)

Lovely shot, John. You need to do more scenics.

Superb shot. A winter wonderland. I tried taking photos today. We had a foot of snow, but they came out brown and gray and dirty. And they looked like yours thru my eyes. How do you get shots like this.
