Just got this delivered to the UK today. Very nice. Does what it says on the tin (as we say here), and does it very well. Very simple to use. Hyperdrive very kindly upgraded the shipping too so I received it before I leave for a 3 week trip to India in the next few days. Should complement my D80 and equally fantastic new Slingshot 200AW bag nicely!

I can recommend both these storage devices!

where was it posted from? what was the value declared on the packaging? did you pay tax/customs duty?
Thanks

Posted from california, value USD$50, tax/duty paid so worthwhile. Very efficient delivery, although £15.68 paid on delivery - and they only take cash or cheque! But still worth it as I can now shoot without worrying about storage.

I though HyperDrive.com takes major credit cards?
How you send cash/cheque from UK to California?
By mail?

UPS collect the tax/duty on behalf of customs. The orginal poster wasn't that articulate in explaining this :)

I still can't work out the duty though, it looks like VAT on Cost of Goods + postage = .175 * ($50 + $30) = $14 = £8, so it looks like UPS have a "handling fee" on top of around £8, or even the customs charge is higer than 17.5%... Gawd this is complex, but I least I know how much I would pay in total if I ordered it.

it's about 4.85 in value added tax and an 11 Pounds 'brokerage fee'. Hope this is articulate enough.
