This is an EAGLE: KING of BIRDS

Jerry: thanks for the kind words. I always like to hear from you and follow you excellent posts.

I feel that I am extremely lucky with my environment, and that I have been able to pick up so much help with my photo work in such a short time. This is all due to this forum. I just hope that I can keep learning how to use these two wonderful H cameras.

John, you have created an entire series, and still keep pumping them out of the pipeline of productivity. I followed you work with the eaglets with great delight, and now just am stunned at these amazing closeups. Just truly amazing. Thanks!

I haven't posted in ages, because this has been a murderous fall for me at work, but I check out the forum regularly, as always. Your post, however, and Rich's on the color saturation tip brought me out of my fall forum slumber on posting.

Maybe the owl is just waiting...waiting to attack and kill...

My experience with eagles and owls is limited. I just remembered hearing the owl beating up the eagle thing from Doris Mager, "The Eagle Lady," in Florida who has cared for over 80 bald eagles and hundreds of other birds or prey. Google her, she is quite famous.
