Working with a D200 as a Prof. Photographer (pictures)

FYI...the Sigma 10-20 won't work on a FF camera, it's image circle is optimized for a DX size sensor.
Concerning the FF. I love to shoot events and would love to use
that SIGMA 10-20mm at 10mm to get even closer. Especially for
snowboard shots when you stand a few inches from the ramp. I am not
a big fan of the fish eye effect and the SIGMA gives me great
results.
Also a FF will have a much bigger viewfinder so I can shoot more
often manual focused.

Have a great week.

Nils

Very nice!

I just got my new D200...It is nice to see what the D200 is capable of in the right hands...

Thanks to your excellent photos - you jump-started my inspiration with this wonderful camera!!!

Why does work have to get in the way of Life?

Nice site, nice photos...

does seem like u can't zoom some of the images, like in the plant and animals sections...

Could you please tell me who designed your site, and/or from where you got the template..?

thanks,

yeah animals and plants I still have to update. Just uploaded some of my old pics to fill the category.

I designed the page by myself. All together took about 500h.

Congratulations, you did a great job with he website and some of your pictures are stunning.

We won't see any trolls hanging around in this thread because there is nothing to critisize, even for the most fanatic trolls.

ROCKS!
Great site, great work.

AWESOME WEBSITE!

I'M CURIOUS WHAT COLOR MODE AND CONTRAST/SATURATION HUE/WB

YOU USED ON THE FIRST PHOTO OF YOUR WEB SITE (GUY JUMPING IN AIR BY DOCK), THE COLOR TONES AND WHITE BALANCE LOOK GREAT ,I LOVE THE SKINTONES

I'M A LONGTIME PRO SKIPORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER, I SEEM TO HAVE PROBLEMS TO GET A GOOD PUNCHY PHOTO WITHOUT GETTING THE FACES TO SATURATED/FUNKY LOOKING WITH THE D200.
ALL FILL FLASH AT HIGH ALTITUDE WITH LOTS OF BACKLIGHT.

I KNOW HOW TO SHOOT BUT HAVE JUST NOT FOUND THE SWEET SPOT WITH MY D200 WISH IT HAD THE FUJI S2 LOOK.

WERE JUST GETTING SLAMMED BY 1-2 FETT OF SNOW SO I GUESS TOMORROW I'LL BE POWDERSKIING.

AGAIN, GREAT WEBSITE

I think your site is superb -- on all levels.

The only changes I'd suggest are MORE PICTURES (what's there now simply whets the appetite) and an English translation for your Blog.

Oh and one tiny thing . . . in English the word "peer" is spelled "pier" assuming you meant for it to be in English.

You should sell that Flash Site as a template for other folks like me to use!

shot that picture in RAW all natural light. Water and Snow gives perfect light (reflection) if the sun is slightly out of the zenit.

Hi Nils

you are one of those few guys able to surf life at best. You're a beautiful man, sporty, with great skills and we all are surely envious of the great result you was able to get with that site.

Second, the thing I liked more, photos aside, is what you said about yourself, since it's the same thing I'd say in your place. Photography MUST be natural and spontaneous, so exist "snapshots", very short moments that can leave an inner print on you. I too, after the photographic course I'll attend in Milan from next year, I hope to get the skills to realize something like your site and not just a "photographic gallery" as millions of others equal. Thank God if you believe in It, and never forget to help others when you are able to.

All the best and good luck!

thank you very much for those kind words and feedback. Not many actually take their time to read through the words.

The other side of it is being a crazy insane perfectionist :o)

may god be with you!

The photos aren't bad either. Just kidding, the photos are great. I would like to see them a bit bigger on the site. All in all, very well done.
