After all the evolution in photography and technology, we keep trying to get back to the old days expression. Its a bit odd but its also fun.

This is another experience, low sharpness, neutral colour, 800 ISO, and B&W conversion. Levels and contrast adjustments were also required.

But its difficult to resist to a clean and sharp 64 ISO...

In this particular case the colour version doesn't make such a difference:

Do you have fun with B&W and your R#?

Definitely a good barn in B&W. Once upon a time we did everything in this way, without question. Today, I feel that one needs a simple, almost stark subject to see an advantage in B&W.

Sure B&W gives the old days look to those barnes, Lg and Brian. I think its a good subject for B&W, together with industrial and urban environements.

Thanks Brian and mrdatsun, I think its an interesting and simbolic composition, art & technology trough time.

mrdatsun, I agree with you about the colour reflected on the plaster model. It reminds me the efect of colour filters on the lens. I'm thinking about making a few more experiences with different colours on the monitor, especially with the dark light of dpreview page.

Nice pics, everyone!

It's so busy at work nowadays, I've been shooting next to nothing the last weeks... And of course, up here it's good daylight only between 10 and 2 and raining constantly at this time of year, so I guess it would have been a challenge anyway.

Since I have very few new pics in stock, I dug up a pic I took in August on a cloudy day, and made it look even more grey. It sort of enhanced the feeling of it - hope ypu like it!

Best regards,

Asbjørn
