Just my personal opinion. I think that Nero is the WORST cd-burning sofrware ever. I installed it once and I was so pi* ed off that I even erased it from the CD-RW disc that I had copied it. I would NEVER try this piece of sh*t again!!!! I have a disc full with CD-burningn software which I continuously update and guess what: Nero is not there.

I like Nero, you can drop and drag your directories over to the CD and if you select too many that it over fills the disk, then it lets you move it over so you can remove a different directory. Plus it lists the size of each directory.

Pabletto, I don't think that your experience is typical -- from talking to others and reading reviews the general consensus appears to be that Nero from Ahead is one of the better CD burning applications -- certainly better than the more common Adaptec software, with which I know many people have had bad experiences.

For an overview of CD burning, including the hardware, the software and the CD-Rs see:

http://windows.oreilly.com/news/pchardnut_0900.html

where it states:

"In addition to being rock-solid, Nero is fast, noticeably faster than Easy CD Creator in most of our tests. Nero also seems to be quite forgiving of marginal source discs. We've used Nero to dupe discs, both pressed CD-ROM discs and CD-R discs, which Easy CD Creator refuses to dupe on any system and with any CD writer we've tried. In fact, Nero is so good that we've removed Easy CD Creator from all of our CD writer systems and replaced it with Nero."

I suggest that any potential user downloads an evaluation copy of Nero from Ahead's website.

Terry.
