you have a cow artifact in all three of them....probably will need to send it back for service or exchange.
j/k.....I'm just feeling silly today, must be the cold medication.

I like the last one, looking right at you, better lighting and focus than the other two, number two looks blown in the highlights on my monitor, my guess is that you took this one mid-day......better lighting early or late in the day.

I wish these trees weren't here, I want to see the forest!

...it reminds me of my mother-in-law.

You're a little over-exposed in the first two shots, as indicated by the blown highlights. Try playing with EV, WB and full manual as you're out and about. After all, film for the E-500 is pretty cheap!

While shooting photos at any time of the day is acceptable, as tuthdoc mentioned early morning or late afternoon provides the best light.

I know this particular book has been mentioned 37 million times before, I'll mention and suggest it again...

"Understanding Exposure, Revised Edition" by Bryan-Peterson. It's a great read.

Thanks for the comments. Ive never had a camera with so many different adjustments that can affect the outcome of the picture. I have a few other pics i will post tonight after the family leaves. Need more practice.
