I've liked the 2600Z I ordered from the US before xmas so much (despite the circuit fault leaving dead batts occas) I've now gone and bought a 2800Z from Japan (I'm in Brisbane) via a friend i have living there. He's now recieved the cam, reports it works well but the handbook is not multi lingual - only in Japanese. Having had the 2600Z a month i'm assuming the two cameras have mostly identical features and menu. Can anyone with both cams (G'day Cassandra) confirm i'm right? Any one in Aust/NZ interested in buying the 2600Z for A$550 (retail price here around $900.

I too had to return a US 2600 (due to some the LCD stops working) and now have a 2800. Both are almost exactly identical in options and its location, with the difference being the 2800 has a couple extra options (voice caption & continuous shooting). You need not learn Japanese.
