Hi

Mac Newcomer, like what I see so far, tho struggling with Aperture & Canon Scanner Drivers.

On to my point.

I have a large(ish) amount of back catalog 135 & 126 negs plus very old B&W prints which I would like to archive (mainly historical family)(For on screen viewing - 24" Monitor - Unlikely to print above 8 X 10). Any recommendations on the best Mac compatible scanners for the job?

I have a Minolta Scan Dual which I can't use (Using a new MBPro)(Scanner Requires a SCSI connection), to laborious anyway - & crops the 126. Also Canon N1220U which I can't get to work with my new Mac

Looking at Epson V700/V750.

Thanks in adv.....

Hi,

I am researching a scanner for my MacPro... I heard that HP will be out with the 4050G in December sometime . A machine that is rumored to give fantastic 16 bit scans with aoutoload and auto focus for around $200.. also a flatbed. For good scans of larger format film the Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 is the best out there the ordinary folks can afford... I will probably buy both.. The Epson V700 is very good though.
