Bha-ha-ha! Their evil plan to slowly control the world's supply of rear lens caps is unfolding. So, now people will start to sell their lens by itself and then sell the caps in separate auctions. That is crazy.

I just bought one yesterday in a local shop from the rack of about 50 for $1.98

Photography now is the footprint of the future.

There is no cure for LBA except more lenses.

Gee, I feel bad! I guess I just gyped a guy for one, and therefore $32.75. I got a M42-K adapter at the swap meet and talked the guy into throwing in a rear cap for free! But hey, I have a whole bunch of 'em for only $20 each if anyone is interested........

Oh...I think this is the rear lens cap that came with the silver edition of the A 50 F1.2 that was produced especially for the commemorative silver edition of the LX. A collectors' item and very rare.

It takes a real LBA specialist to tell them apart from the ordinary ones. But with training, discipline, and practice, it can be done. These guys bidding on it must be good.

Everyone should bid...early and often.

Joe

Hey, I'm looking for a couple myself but not at $32+++. HI, Mousehill.....I see you're in on the less expensive ones....oh, I won't bid against a forum member (knowingly at least). Guess I'll keep looking!
Good luck.

Perhaps they're learning from the inkjet printer industry. Sell the printer for almost nothing and soak you on the consumables. Maybe we'll see some great lenses for under 10 dollars but the rear caps will be in the hundreds. Oh...it's a sad affair. (tongue firmly in cheek)

Yes, Joe, and I'm from Missouri and just fell off a turnip truck.
Don, believe it or not, as I posted that I was thinking "I'll bet Don will respond." Oh, and my father is from Missouri.

Joe

P.S. I refuse to use smiley or winky faces. People either get it on their own or they don't.

Got some lenses from the A series onward. The older K and M style caps do not have that little extra flange that covers the electrical contact. A few months ago, I got a bag of 10 caps of the newer style from KEH for a pretty cheap price. I was able to replace all my older style caps with the newer style.

Guess I should put the old one up on eekbay.
