Last night during a shoot I noticed that "sometimes" the instant LCD preview did not appear after the shot. No rhyme nor reason, just whenever. The pic was always recorded, just not previewed. I was shooting in RAW for what that is worth.

Anyone experience a similar problem?

The shot only comes up if your don't press any button that indicate that you are going to take another shot soon.
But that might not be your problem. Are you using a slow SD card?

Also the default setting of 1 sec preview is often so short that by the time I take my eye away of the VF the shot just about disappears. Have you tried a longer setting?

Cheers,
JS

128x SD card

Sounds weird. If you bought it recently it might be worth a trip to the cam shop and see if you can reproduce the behaviour on the cam and exchange it, but also on a demo they have there (see if it hasn't anything to do with your SD card or if the behaviour is equivalent).
