Thought on A100 body and heavy lenses

When using my new, heavy Sony 70-200/2.8, I've noticed quite a few creaks, puckers, and other noises eminating from the A100 body. This is without the use of a tripod. I'm now wondering about the duriability of the well made, yet plastic body of the alpha.

I just shot some pics using my 80-200 f/2.8, and I didn't use the body as my central device - the lens is just too hefty for that, so it was more like the lens was supported by my left hand and my right "guided" the camera body; no creaks or groans.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, that's exactly how I've been using it. Albeit, I think I'm gripping the camera body a bit hard — I may be the cause of the creaks!

with your left hand? Steadies the position and supports the body. Even on smaller lenses it is a good technique...
