Mh, posting pictures may be dangerous ...
Anyway, I wanted to say, that at least I was learning a lot with those photos what was posted here. It was easy to follow some special persons who had same camera as I have, to watch and compare their and mine photos. Sometimes you cant ask, how you do this, but it may be usefull to know, that it is possible (for example : rgraham's very sharp photos with 850, also with Tcon, this 850 macro trick also was discovered through photos, some noise problems, DOFs, ...), if I didn't get similar results, I just tried again, because I knew that its possible to get certain results.
Also, sometimes its good to compare some situations between other cameras (even if they are taken with SLR, Fuji or whatever), it was also helping to know, whats different in your camera and how you may get similar result maybe with another way. If I had to search it through this whole Dpreview phorum, I would have not found many things, its sure.
What I want to say, that the KEY was visiting this phorum every day, watching all this Kodak posts (maybe not so deeply every time, but ...). Every day I saw pictures here, I compared them with mine, I changed some technics after that and so on ...
One of the reasons, you come to this forum, are those off topic posts, just reader's images. But if this forum had been highly technical, I think I would have been missed it.
So, here are two problems : yes, forum may be only more technical one, it may be simple to find things here with search motor, but then you dont find many friendly readers here, who may also give you quick advice (but if forum is not interesting, then people dont come to it).
But also forum may be as Kodak's forum have been for a while. Its yes more like coffee bar, maybe chat room, but also its true that many people have got their answers for their problems quickly and in friendly way.
But as I can understand, this forum has many many members and it may be hard for database, for web server room ... Maybe my question is, why Kodak itself haven't done a forum to their homepage, where their clients with their cameras can talk to each others and show pictures to learn and compare (its not expensive for such big company). I'm very sure, that this Open Talk in here Dpreview may be interesting, but its too huge to follow only that type of posts you need.
Uhh, hope you got it, through may not very good English :--)
